  • MARRY THE NIGHT: A COMEDIC INTERPRETATION

    For Gagazine.net:

Hello monsters, hookers, beliebers (what are you doing here?), and squirrels. For our first journey together down the glitter way, I’ll be sharing with you the real meaning behind “Marry The Knight”. (Yes, I spelled it correctly. The back of the album spells it incorrectly).

In “Marry the Knight,” Gaga is singing about marrying herself. After leaving the Queen’s castle, she has been knighted and has grown a new passion for the United Kingdom. This actually isn’t the only song on BORN THIS WAY where Gaga expresses a romantic love for herself; in Americano, the girl she met in L.A. is actually her wearing her aunt’s floral shorts.

An ego Gaga tries to hide from her fans breaks out in the first few lines from the songs, as she expresses being a “warrior queen,” giving herself the same power as the Queen who knighted her.

“The Dark” is a lesbian-driven, underground club in England. She visits every time she’s on that side of the world. “I’m a soldier to my own emptiness.” When Gaga looks at herself, she sees only an embodiment of fashion. As a knight, she sees only an empty set of armor. Whether that armor be colored raccoon, teal, blonde, or rainbow. I personally prefer my armor to be Lebanese, but they tell me that’s not a color.

Gaga didn’t write the chorus, Black Jesus did, so there’s no point in discussing that.

In the pop music industry, “lace up my boots” is code for “fuck the DJ.” Looks like someone is trying to copy off Ke$hit.

“Down the street that I love, in my fishnet gloves, I’m a sinner.” There’s an interview with Luc Carl from X number of years ago where he refers to the man in his pants as being as long as a street. Gaga is cruising down… the “street” that she loves, with a glove (condom), out of wedlock, making her a sinner. She refers to Luc more directly with “kiss the bartender twice.” She has to kiss him twice because the first time she kisses him he doesn’t realize she’s the girl behind all the armor. The literal armor, not the metaphorical armor, though I’ll agree the bitch is armed.

Okay, she switches it up now. Clearly, she’s so addicted to herself that nothing’s cool enough to make her leave. “New York is not just a tan that you’ll never lose.” For this newlywed, New York will never be a tan. The metal on her knew, cool knight armor is going to reflect the sun’s rays back at it so hard that the sun gets a tan.

Gaga has a secret tattoo of the word “love” really big above her female parts, which in the past would be covered in denim and would today be covered in leather panties.

“Skeleton guns” is a reference to her birthing a gun in the Born This Way video. Her vagina also births wedding bells.

“Ginger” is her pet name for the Queen who knighted her. She doesn’t actually say “Climb to El Camino front,” it’s just a lot of “ka” sounds. “Won’t poke holes in the seat with my heels cuz that’s where we make love.” Gaga was in the Queen’s throne when the tattoo artist was giving her the “love” above her love area.

“Come on and run!” Gaga’s new armor has stopped reflecting the sun and has actually melted. She managed to form it into a motorcycle around her body and is begging it’s engine to start. It does, and she rides off in the sunset, baby wedding bells fluttering in the wind.

  • Gibson is BORN TO DISS on Twitter!

Lady Gaga's choreographer, Laurieann Gibson, has been tasting a new side of fame recently. The host of E's The Dance Scene and the upcoming BET competition Born To Dance, Gibson's media attention began with her title as Creative Director for Gaga. Her work was on a constantly rising elevator of praise from most monsters, but that elevator stopped moving when Gibson told the LA Times that Gaga's similarities to Madonna are intentional!

"Listen, [Madonna] should be bitter because I did it on purpose," Gibson said, "and you can quote me. I did it on purpose because for all those kids who believe that you can’t, I wanted to let them feel that you can."

For everyone but the handful of fans who are bored by Gibson's choreography, the comment went unnoticed, and Gibson's reputation amongst monsters stayed solid. That was, however, until the "professional" took to Twitter the past couple of days.

While tweeting optimistic messages like "It's important not to lose your cool," "Remember when your Dreams Come true stay Humble," and "You are better than negativity bigger than Hate," Gibson failed to take her own advice when tweeting some of Gaga's fans.

To a fan upset by Gibson's disdain with Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory" music video and calling Gibson's television show a "flop," Gibson replied, "Get off my timeline ignorance."

To a fan questioning whether or not Gibson lied when saying director Joseph Kahn was working on the new Gaga music video, Gibson replied, "listen u disrespectful fuck they had an issue on set I don't lie!!!!!"

To a fan who called Gibson a bitch after the "disrespectful fuck" comment and other comments re: the music video, Gibson replied, "who r u!!! So r u don't talk negative to people u don't know it's foolish." (This coming from someone who just called two people she doesn't know a "disrespectful fuck" and "ignorance"). Foolish!

To a fan who tweeted Gibson saying that they were crying due to the hate and begged Gibson to "please stop," Gibson replied, "ignorance breeds all this bad tweeting about someone u don't know."

To a fan who insisted Lady Gaga needs to fire her, Gibson replied, "you r sick Get some help u have no clue."

To other fans asking Gibson to "act your age," telling her she needs to stop being rude, and even stating Gaga doesn't need Gibson to be creative, Gibson simply replied, "lol." A very bold move for that comment about Gaga being creative individually.

The biggest defense anyone has given for Gibson's actions is that "the fans deserve it and are just as bad." The biggest argument against her actions is that Gibson is supposed to be a professional and could spend her time responding to praise rather than hate.

What do you think? Leave a comment, show some love!

  • MONSTERS, THE REAL "BLOODY MARY"

While Lady Gaga's religion-centered meaning for the new track "Bloody Mary" is believable and requires no second-guessing, one fan has completed a further analysis of the song.

GagaDailyBoards.com member PetiteMonstre wrote, "What if we, the fans, are Bloody Mary, and Gaga is Jesus? I think the song is written from our point of view, and it's about how Gaga wants us to keep her legacy alive after she's gone."

The idea seems far-fetched before reading the reasoning behind this theory.

Love is just a history that they may prove.

And when you're gone, I'll tell them my religion's you.

When Punk-tius comes to kill the King upon his throne,

    I'm ready for their stones.

"The history line is about how we will remember her, and the 'My religion's you' symbolizes how close we are with Gaga," said the fan. "The 'Kill the king upon his throne, ready for their stones' bit is about we are always quick to defend and protect Gaga."

I'll dance, dance, dance with my hands, hands, hands

above my head like Jesus said.

I'm gonna dance, dance, dance with my hands, hands, hands

    above my head, dance together,

forgive Him before he's dead, because -

"The dancing bit references the 'NOW DANCE YOU MOTHERFUCKERS' line Gaga's famous for at the Monster Ball. Dancing together symbolizes the unity of the monsters.

"The 'forgive him before he's dead' line is tricky, and quite sad. It's telling us to forgive all the dumb stuff Gaga may have done. I'm not a fan of the Meat Dress, but I still love her. It's reminding us that, and after she's gone someday, it's our responsibility to cherish her memory and her legacy for the future."

We are not just art for Michelangelo to carve.

He can't rewrite the agro of my furied heart.

I wait on mountain tops and Paris cold,

Je ne veux pas mourire tout seule.

"Michelangelo represents the media who wants to define Gaga and us as fans, showing us as crazy freaks. We have to be the ones to defy them and show the world how strong we are as people and as a fanbase.

"The 'Paris Cold' line shows how far we go for Gaga. Remember the crazy snowstorm in Paris last year during the Monster Ball? I'm pretty sure she was referencing that."

That Paris snow storm can be traced back in tweets by Gaga, dating December 19, 2010. "All 28 of my trucks for the Monsterball were detained by the French government going on over 26 hrs, 2 of my employees were arrested trying to get into Paris so we could perform. I am furious and devastated, it's unfair to my fans and to me. I asked if I could do a stripped version of show, but there would be no sound or power source, it's all been detained. I’m so sorry, angry, and sad. I love Paris + I love my French fans. I’m sorry little monsters."

There's no doubt the extra hours stuck in the bus could've inspired a song, maybe even Bloody Mary. But the theory of the song being about fans discredits Gaga's explanation of the song as an analysis of Mary Magdalene.

Gaga told NME Magazine about Bloody Mary, “I believe that Mary Magdalene was both fully divine and fully human. She has to be strong when Jesus fulfills the prophecy to die for everyone’s sins, but she still has the moment of humanity where she’s upset to let him go. She had to be a superstar, but she must have cried too.”

All art is up for interpretation by its viewers / listeners. Which idea do you most support for the concept of Bloody Mary, or do you have your own interpretation? Leave a comment below!
